Amsterdam

Visit Zaanse Schans, a Dutch village located in the province of North Holland.
Leipzig
Visit the Monument to the Battle of the Nations. The Battle of Leipzig lasted three days, from October 16 to 19, 1813, and was one of the most important battles of the Napoleonic era. Napoleon's defeat led to the end of the imperial regime. Leipzig's Völkerschlachtdenkmal overlooks a reflecting pool. Climb the stairs for breathtaking views of the city and explore the mysterious crypt and Hall of Fame inside.
Austerlitz
The Battle of Austerlitz, located today in Slavkov u Brna, in the Czech Republic, nicknamed the "Battle of the Three Emperors", took place on Monday, December 2, 1805 in southern Moravia, and more specifically between Brno and Austerlitz.
Visit the city of Prague before arriving in Austerlitz
Vienna
Visit Vienna. While expanding his territories and fighting numerous battles, Napoleon stayed twice in Vienna, the Austrian capital. He established his headquarters at Schönbrunn Palace, which was also the site of a failed assassination attempt against him.
Ljubljana
In 1928, the city of Ljubljana decided to rename Valvasor Square as Napoleon Square (which became French Revolution Square in 1952). The following year, which coincided with the 120th anniversary of the creation of the Illyrian Provinces.
The Monument to the Illyrian Provinces (Slovene: Ilirski steber) is a monument erected in 1929 in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, on French Revolution Square, to commemorate the establishment of the Illyrian Provinces by Napoleon I through the decree of October 14, 1809. Laibach (the former name of Ljubljana, then spelled Laybach) had been chosen as the capital of this part of the Napoleonic Empire. Despite the French occupation, this short period, which lasted only from 1809 to 1813, was perceived as a liberation from Austrian rule.
Venice
Visit Venice. In 1797, Napoleon Bonaparte attempted to form an alliance with Venice, but in vain. Napoleon then took his revenge by ending thirteen centuries of independence for the Venetian Republic. He looted the Bucentaur and seized all the gold and valuables it contained.
Milan
The year 1796 is marked by Napoleon's victorious entry into Milan. It also represents the beginning of an urban transformation for the Lombard capital, which has remained marked by Napoleon's prestigious interventions ever since. Upon his arrival, Napoleon was reportedly captivated by Milan, as were other illustrious French figures such as Stendhal and Francis I. This was especially true given the warm welcome the French Emperor received from the Milanese, whom he had liberated from the oppression of the Habsburg regime.
On January 26, 1802, the Italian Republic was proclaimed, with Napoleon Bonaparte as its President. This experiment lasted only three years, however, as on May 26, 1805, Napoleon was crowned King of Italy in Milan's Duomo. On this occasion, the façade of the Milanese cathedral was completed.
Geneva
Visit Geneva. On April 15, 1798, a month after occupying Bern, the troops of the Directory (the executive power of post-Revolutionary France, from 1795 to 1799), supported by local Jacobins, invaded Geneva and annexed it to France. The city became the capital of a new department, called Léman. Geneva, placed under the protection of Napoleon Bonaparte from 1802, remained French until 1813.
Châteauroux
Visit and meeting. Châteauroux is a unique destination where medieval heritage, imperial legacy, and contemporary dynamism intertwine. Steeped in history, the city embodies a living part of the Napoleonic legend. Architectural treasures, the memory of General Bertrand, and visible traces of the First Empire combine to create a rich and moving experience. Between its castle, museums, and iconic squares, Châteauroux offers a journey through time to encounter Napoleon I and his loyal followers.
